On May 28, 2026, Professor Ziv Katalan from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania led a group of 43 students on a visit to FastFish headquarters. Tong Mingfang, Head of the Retail Operations Center; Cai Jianmei, Head of the Design and R&D Center; and Zhou Congyi, Head of the Human Resources and Administration Center, warmly welcomed the delegation together with their teams.
During the visit, the Wharton delegation toured FastFish headquarters and gained an in-depth understanding of the company’s development history and corporate culture. They also received a focused presentation on the innovative application and implementation results of AI technology in FastFish’s apparel design.
In the interactive session, both sides engaged in lively discussions on topics including supply chain response speed, the effectiveness and challenges of AI applications, talent capability matching, and training systems.
This exchange created value for both sides. The Wharton faculty and students gained a multidimensional understanding of a Chinese local retail brand and highly recognized FastFish’s exploration of deeply integrating AI with design, viewing it as a useful reference for the industry’s digital transformation. For FastFish, receiving attention from a world-leading business school is a strong recognition of the brand’s AI innovation capabilities and adds a new highlight to its international brand communication.
