FastFish Launches Robot Warehouse to Upgrade Logistics Efficiency
In December 2021, FastFish’s logistics park welcomed 880 modest-looking “Little Yellow Man” robots. These 880 robots are currently responsible for garment inspection and sorting within FastFish’s apparel warehouse.
It is understood that clustered movement of logistics robots requires highly stable and error-free hardware, millimeter-level positioning and navigation accuracy, uninterrupted communication systems, and advanced robot scheduling and algorithm capabilities. Their ability to operate at high speed without collisions or errors reflects a strong level of integrated innovation. It also signals FastFish Apparel’s determination to apply technological achievements to improve the efficiency of traditional logistics.
After 19 years of deep engagement in the fashion casualwear industry, FastFish Apparel has grown to 2,700 stores nationwide, more than 40 million members, and seven large-scale logistics bases. As the company continues to expand, it has recognized the increasing need to pursue both efficiency and cost consistency, namely “cost reduction and efficiency improvement.”
To this end, FastFish Apparel partnered with Libiao Robotics, the same service provider used by brands such as Nordstrom, UNIQLO, and ANTA, to jointly build a “robot warehouse.” This initiative reforms and improves FastFish’s logistics system, realizes warehouse automation, and further strengthens the brand’s emphasis on “speed.”
At present, this batch of robots has replaced 90% of the previous manual labor and can operate continuously 24 hours a day. Robotic operations have almost entirely replaced assembly-line work, with manual participation required only in a few individual steps, significantly reducing labor costs.
